As a longtime fan of the guitar god Joe Satriani I was really enthusiastic about Chickenfoot.

Chickenfoot is made up of Joe Satriani (Guitar), Chad Smith (Drums), Michael Anthony (Bass) and Sammy Hagar (Vocals).
Would this become the powerband of the 21st century?
With that lineup it had the potential but did they come through?

No…

I just didnt get that excited when I listened to their debut album. It was of course tight, with incredible instrumentalist but it las lacking something? It probably was song. I didnt get that feeling you get when you hear a great song, not once.

Sorry Joe, I love you man but Chickenfoot needs to do better than this.

I was ranting about waste of talent before and that made me think of Yngwie Malmsteen.

He is also one of the best guitarsists in the world. I do like his song a lot, especially the early stuff with Rising Force.  Their Self entitled album Rising Force is a masterpiece. There is just one thing…

Why oh why does he always fuck up the song with his crappy solos. just arpeggios and screaming bends. Arpeggios, arpeggios arpeggios, up and down the fretboard. Hey Yngwie, guess what? We KNOW that you are a fast son fo a… but give up the cocky stuff, you dnot need it.

Maybe you should have a listen to guys like Satriani, try to ease it down. Sometimes less is more.
